The Indonesian Considers A Miracle over Japan's Catastrophe

Radiation leaked from a crippled nuclear plant in tsunami-ravaged northeastern Japan after a third reactor was rocked by an explosion Tuesday and a fourth caught fire in a dramatic escalation of the 4-day-old catastrophe. The government warned anyone nearby to stay indoors to avoid exposure.
In a nationally televised statement, Prime Minister Naoto Kan said radiation has spread from four reactors of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant in Fukushima province, one of the hardest-hit in Friday’s 9.0-magnitude earthquake and the ensuing tsunami that has killed more than 10,000 people.
“The level seems very high, and there is still a very high risk of more radiation coming out,” Kan said. “We are making utmost efforts to prevent further explosions and radiation leaks.”
This is the worst nuclear crisis Japan has faced since the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. It is also the first time that such a grave nuclear threat has been raised in the world since a nuclear power plant in Chernobyl, Russia exploded in 1986.
Kan warned there are dangers of more leaks and told people living within 19 miles (30 kilometers) of the Fukushima Dai-ichi complex to stay indoors to avoid radiation sickness. Some 180,000 people had already been evacuated from a 12-mile (20-kilometer) radius and it was not immediately clear how many people live in the outer radius for which the new warning was issued.
Three reactors at the power plant were in critical condition after Friday’s quake, losing their ability to cool down and releasing some radiation. A fourth reactor that was unoperational caught fire on Tuesday and more radiation was released, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said.
The fire was put out. Even though it was unoperational, the fourth reactor was believed to be the source of the elevated radiation release because of the hydrogen release that triggered the fire.
“It is likely that the level of radiation increased sharply due to a fire at Unit 4,” Edano said. “Now we are talking about levels that can damage human health. These are readings taken near the area where we believe the releases are happening. Far away, the levels should be lower,” he said.
“Please do not go outside. Please stay indoors. Please close windows and make your homes airtight. Don’t turn on ventilators. Please hang on your laundry indoors,” he said.
“These are figures that potentially affect health, there is no mistake about that,” he said.
He said a reactor whose containment building caught fire Monday has not contributed greatly to the increased radiation. The radiation level around one of the reactors stood at 400,000 microsiverts per hour, four times higher than the safe level.
Officials said 50 workers were still there trying to put water into the reactors to cool them. They say 800 other staff were evacuated. The fires and explosions at the reactors have injured 15 workers and military personnel and exposed up to 190 people to elevated radiation.
The death toll from last week’s earthquake and tsunami jumped Tuesday as police confirmed the number killed had topped 2,400, though that grim news was overshadowed by a deepening nuclear crisis. Officials have said previously that at least 10,000 people may have died in Miyagi province alone.
Millions of people spent a fourth night with little food, water or heating in near-freezing temperatures as they dealt with the loss of homes and loved ones. Asia’s richest country hasn’t seen such hardship since World War II.
Hajime Sato, a government official in Iwate prefecture, one of the hardest-hit, said deliveries of supplies were only 10 percent of what is needed. Body bags and coffins were running so short that the government may turn to foreign funeral homes for help, he said.
Though Japanese officials have refused to speculate on the death toll, Indonesian geologist Hery Harjono, who dealt with the 2004 Asian tsunami, said it would be “a miracle really if it turns out to be less than 10,000” dead. The 2004 tsunami killed 230,000 people — of which only 184,000 bodies were found.
Harjono noted that many bodies in Japan may have been sucked out to sea or remain trapped beneath rubble as they did in Indonesia’s hardest-hit Aceh province. But he also stressed that Japan’s infrastructure, high-level of preparedness and city planning to keep houses away from the shore could mitigate its human losses.
The impact of the earthquake and tsunami on the world’s third-largest economy helped drag down the share markets Monday, the first business day since the disasters. The benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average for a second day Tuesday, by 6.5 percent to 8,999.73, wiping out this year’s gains while the broader Topix index lost 7.5 percent.
To lessen the damage, Japan’s central bank injected $61.2 billion Tuesday into the money markets after pumping in $184 billion on Monday. Initial estimates put repair costs in the tens of billions of dollars, costs that would likely add to a massive public debt that, at 200 percent of gross domestic product, is the biggest among industrialized nations.
In a bid to stop the reactors at the nuclear plant from melting down, engineers have been injecting seawater as a coolant of last resort. Yuta Tadano, a 20-year-old pump technician at the Fukushima power plant, said he was on the second floor of an office building in the complex when quake hit.
“It was terrible. The desks were thrown around and the tables too. The walls started to crumble around us and there was dust everywhere. The roof began to collapse."
“We got outside and confirmed everyone was safe . Then we got out of there. We had no time to be tested for radioactive exposure. I still haven’t been tested,” Tadano told The Associated Press at an evacuation center outside the exclusion zone.
“We live about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the facility. We had to figure out on our own where to go,” said Tadano, cradling his 4-month-old baby, Shoma. “I worry a lot about fallout. If we could see it we could escape, but we can’t.”
“Just because we are an evacuation center doesn’t mean we are safe,” said his sister-in-law Makiko Murasawa, 43.
The nuclear crisis has also raised global concerns about the safety of nuclear power at a time when it has seen a resurgence as an alternative to fossil fuels. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency said the Japanese government has asked the agency to send experts to help.

Japan Plant Spews Radiation in Crisis Escalation

Radiation spewed Tuesday from a crippled nuclear power plant in tsunami-ravaged northeastern Japan in a dramatic escalation of the 4-day-old catastrophe, forcing the government to tell people nearby to stay indoors to avoid exposure.

The Snake Less Poisonous than The Model's Breast

Ouch: The distressed model tries to pull the snake off her but it has latched on to her tightly

It should have been an alluring photoshoot between two of nature's beautiful creatures as a model wrapped herself in a snake.

But surgically enhanced Israeli model Orit Fox got more than she bargained for when the massive boa constrictor took objection to her over familiarity and reacted by biting into her breast.
However, it was the snake who came off worse because, while Ms Fox need a tetanus shot in hospital, the reptile later died from silicone poisoning.
The B-list model and actress initially looked comfortable during the shoot in Tel Aviv, wrapping the huge snake around her legs, waist and neck while doing her best to look sexy.
In a figure hugging red and white striped dress, which revealed maximum cleavage, she gamely tried to take their bonding to the next level by licking the snake's face. As she maneurvered the animal into position for the 'kiss' Ms Fox loosened her grip on its neck, and after being licked the reptile reacted angrily.
It aimed straight for Fox's prized assets and sunk its teeth deep into her left breast. She let out a high-pitched scream, as did a voice off camera who appeared to be directing the shoot.
An assistant rushed in to help her pull the snake off and after a few seconds of struggle the creature released its grip.
The peroxide-blonde model was rushed to a nearby hospital and given a tetanus shot. However, the snake wasn't so lucky and died from silicone poisoning.

Indonesia Urged to Stop Punishment by Striking with Cane

London-based Amnesty International had asked Indonesia which is now holding the ASEAN chair and its human rights commission this year, is pressing Malaysia to put an end to punishing its people by striking with the cane.
Malaysia needs to immediately put an end to this kind of cruel and inhuman punishment on refugees and migrant workers, Amnesty International said after the government revealed that nearly 30,000 foreigners had been punished this way in the last five years.
In a press release received by Antara London on Friday, Amnesty International was responding to a parliamentary statement on March 9 last by which Home Affairs Minister Hishammudin Hussein said that Malaysia has imposed a punishment in this way on 2005 to 2010 people for immigration offenses.
This is a practice banned in international law what ever the reason, Sam Zarifi said, adding that the Malaysian government needs to immediately a declare a moratorium against the brutal practice. Amnesty International has called for a total abolition on all kinds of corporal punishments.
In December 2010, Amnesty International published a detailed and comprehensive investigative report on punishment by striking with the cane in Malaysia.
When many countries abolished punishment with striking with the cane, Malaysia had intensified the practice. Parliament has increased the number of violations which could be subjected to punishment with up to 60 strikes with the cane.
Liew Chin Tong, member of parliament revealed that at least 60 pct of the 29,759 foreigners who had been punished in this way were Indonesians.

WikiLeaks Rift between US and Indonesia Worsens

US President Barack Obama ... his call to his Indonesian counterpart, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, was scuttled

A planned telephone call between the US President, Barack Obama, and his Indonesian counterpart, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, was scuttled after revelations US diplomats had told Washington the Indonesian leader and his family were implicated in corruption.

The call had been arranged before the Herald published the allegations in US cables, which were obtained from WikiLeaks and have been denied by Dr Yudhoyono and some of those cited in the cables as sources.
Mr Obama was to have called Dr Yudhoyono on Friday but 'when the WikiLeaks thing broke, it didn't happen' said one well-placed source, adding the original purpose of the call was to discuss the upcoming East Asia Summit, to be held in Indonesia. It is understood the US cancelled the call after discussions with officials from the palace.
There is little doubt that, had the call proceeded, Mr Obama would have followed the example of his envoy in Jakarta, Scot Marciel, and expressed his regret over the exposure of the cables and their startling allegations.
A spokesman for Dr Yudhoyono, Teuku Faizasyah, confirmed the lack of contact, but played down its significance, saying 'the scheduling for these kinds of calls is always fluid'.
Even so, US-Indonesian relations have been strained by the publication of the cables and their reports that Dr Yudhoyono blocked a corruption investigation into a political powerbroker, Taufik Kiemas, used the intelligence services to spy on rivals and received funding from the controversial businessman Tomy Winata via a middleman.
The cables included allegations the first lady, Kristiani Herawati, mooted as a successor to the President, used her role 'to profit personally by acting as a broker or facilitator for business ventures'.
Mr Marciel was hauled in to receive a 'strong protest' from the Foreign Minister, Marty Natalegawa, on Friday. Since their publication, the allegations have been denounced as 'completely without foundation' by Indonesia.
Burhanudin Muhtadi, an analyst with the political consultancy LSI, said Dr Yudhoyono was incandescent about the content of the cables and their publication.
'SBY sees himself as an international darling,' he said. 'He is very upset that the US embassy in Indonesia was spying on him and reporting in such an improper and unhappy manner.'

Electric Cars Run out of Range

Nissans electric car, the Leaf, has reportedly been unexpectedly running out of charge.

The electric cars revolution has hit its first bump in the road. According to reports from the United States several owners of Nissan's electric hatchback, the Leaf, have reported the car unexpectedly running out of charge and stopping.
Range-anxiety - the fear of an electric car running out of charge - is one of the biggest challenges facing the car industry as it attempts to convert motorists from fossil fuel to electricity.
The owners are reporting the remaining range indicated on the car's dashboard is rapidly dropping before putting the car into a "limp home mode" that slows the car to a crawl to conserve the remaining charge in the battery. One owner reported the car went from showing 27km of range to coming to a halt in only eight kilometres of driving.
"Part of me is amused that I may go down in history as the first dumbass to drive the car into submission," the owner wrote. "But I am slightly shaky and upset as I thought there should have been no problem getting home."
Another reported the a similar situation with the car again dropping into the "limp home mode" before grinding to a halt. A spokeswoman for Nissan USA said the company was investigating the reports but claimed they were "isolated" incidents.
The Nissan Leaf is due to go on sale in Australia next year and a spokesman for the local operation said he had not heard of the US reports, but said the company would look into them to find out what went wrong.
"I think the company needs to analyse the events that have gone on and check the reports, if indeed they were reportedly officially," Jeff Fisher, Nissan Australia spokesman said. "It's a bit hard to jump to conclusions on hearsay."
The Leaf has been making headlines in the United States as one of the first all-electric cars on sale. It is also one of three finalists in the 2011 World Car of the Year awards along with the Audi A8 and BMW 5-Series.
Mitsubishi and American sports car company Tesla, are the only manufacturers to offer fully electric cars in Australia at present. But Holden will offer the electric Volt next year and several other car companies are close to confirming plans to offer electric cars in Australia.

Indonesia Begins Evacuating Its Nationals from Japan

Commuters wait in line to transfer from JR (Japan Railway) trains to other companies trains at Yokohama station in Yokohama, west of Tokyo Monday, March 14, 2011, three days after a massive earthquake and the ensuing tsunami hit Japans east coast. Japan Railway suspended some of its services due to rolling blackout of the town. The planned blackouts were meant to help make up for a severe shortfall after key nuclear plants were left inoperable due to Fridays earthquake and tsunami.

Indonesia began on Monday evacuating its nationals from disaster-stricken areas in Japan with some 104 evacuees expected to arrive in Jakarta on Tuesday. They arrived in Tokyo from Sendai on Monday.
More than 400 Indonesians living in different parts of earthquake and tsunami-stricken regions in Japan are going to be evacuated to Tokyo and eventually sent home, Indonesian ambassador to Japan Muhammad Lutfi said.
According to data of the Foreign Ministry, 31,517 Indonesians are at present living in Japan, mostly or around 24,000 in Tokyo and around 6,700 in Osaka. However, evacuation will be carried out for those living in three most affected areas, namely in Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi and Fukushima.
There were 496 Indonesian citizens who were spread in the three areas located near the epicenter of the earthquake. They were 140 people in Iwate Prefecture, 274 people in Miyagi and 82 people in Fukushima City.
Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa said on Sunday 121 Indonesians would be relocated from Sendai on Monday, who consisted of 60 percent men and 40 percent women.
"The 121 Indonesians are expected to leave from Sendai and arrive in Tokyo on Monday evening," the minister said, adding that most of the evacuees are students comprising 60 percent of men and 40 percent of women.
On Friday, Japan was hit by an earthquake measuring 8.9 on Richter scale that triggered a towering tsunami which crippled the north-eastern region of Japan, killing at least 1,000 people. Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa immediately reported the disaster to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who ordered immediate safety efforts.
"We will collect information as fast as possible. Certainly this news is shocking. We hope the situation will not deteriorate and our people could all be protected," the foreign minister said.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Monday asked the foreign affairs ministry and Indonesia’s diplomatic mission in Japan to locate all Indonesians following last Friday’s natural disaster.
In the meantime, Indonesian Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Linda Amalia Sari Gumelar asked the Indonesian embassy in Japan to prioritize women and children in its efforts to help Indonesians affected by Friday’s earthquake and tsunami disaster.
"We have contacted the Indonesian Embassy in Japan and discussed the fate of women and children affected by the earthquake and tsunami," said Linda Gumelar Monday.
Linda said her ministry has contacted the Indonesian Embassy in Japan to ensure that Indonesian citizens there remained in good condition, especially women and children. "I am really concerned about the disaster, and I want to make sure that children and women residing in that country are safe," she said.
In order to provide assistance, the embassy has set up and sent teams to the affected regions to provide help for Indonesian nationals.
"The Indonesian Embassy has set up a team for rescuing our people in Japan, especially those who are staying in Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi and Fukushima. An airplane has been sent to evacuate them to Tokyo," said Ambassador Lutfi.
The Indonesian embassy has rescue teams Miyagi and Iwate prefectures who arrived on Saturday. "The Indonesian embassy in Tokyo sent two evacuation teams to Miyagi and Iwate on Saturday," the embassy said.
Yet some Indonesians are running short of logistics in Sendai for example. Tens of Indonesian nationals sheltered at Sendai are in dire need of food and drink, according to the embassy in Tokyo.
Right now priority in the distribution of food is gaven to senior citizens and children while the supply of drinking water is also limited. But a team of embassy employees had arrived at Sanjo junior high school building where the Indonesian nationals were being sheltered.
They later set up a public kitchen to provide food to the Indonesian nationals. Yet a shortage of foodstuff posed an obstacle. They were all in good health, though some of them began to complain about poor facilities at the evacuee camp.
In Sendai, capital of Miyagi prefecture, the relief team evacuated on Monday ten Indonesians. Head of the National Workers Placement and Protection Agency (BNP2TKI) Jumhur Hidayat said the ten evacuees consisted of seven nurses and three students.
The seven nurses were Mugiyati, Desi Subarkan, Jajang Rahmat, Emey Wahyudi, Siti Nur Lailiay, Wihel Maridadewi and Wisita Permanasari while the three students who were also evacuated to Tokyo were Robert Dwipura,Tahta Erlangga and Achmad Faisal Dwiputra. "They are expected to arrive in Tokyo at midnight today." Jumhur said on Monday.
Jumhur also pointed out that there were four Indonesian nurses in Fukushima prefecture who survived the earthquake and tsunami. The whereabouts of the four Indonesian nurses were previously not known but later it was reported that they were safe and had been evacuated to a Tokyo military hospital.
They were taken to the hospital to be examined whether or not they were exposed to radiation following the explosion of a nuclear power plant (PLTN) in Fukushima as a result of the quake and its subsequent tsunami. The four Indonesian workers were Dwi Astuti from Klaten district, Central Java; Puspawati from Mimika Baru, West Papua; Harlina Semi from Panakkukang, Makassar; and Yulianti from Senapelan, Pekanbaru, Riau province.

Strengthening Your Marriage After Cheating – How to Make Your Marriage Stronger After You've Cheated

Strengthening your marriage after cheating might seem like something along the lines of Mission Impossible. It might even be a challenge worthy of The Dirty Dozen or some other group who does things no one else can do.

The thing is YOU, yes you, really CAN do it. As difficult as that is to believe at the moment, it's possible. You can make your marriage stronger after you've cheated on your wife than it ever was before you cheated. You just need to know how to make it happen.

You've probably tried all of the obvious things right?

You've tried gifts, flowers, and fancy dates. You've watched sappy romance movies and countless "chick flicks" with her. You've even suffered through the ballet or opera in an attempt to make her happy and get your marriage back on track. The problem is that none of these things seem to be working.

Your mind is still wandering. You're not happy. She's still afraid to trust you. She's not happy. No one is really happy with the circumstances. But…you both love each other. No one wants to be the one to walk away either.

On the other hand, you know that if you don't do anything to make serious changes towards strengthening your marriage after cheating you are going to lose your marriage in the end.

The problem is that you aren't making real changes in your relationship. You're only making superficial changes. This leaves both of you waiting, on some level, for the other shoe to drop.

You feel like you're on your way to a not-so-happy ending for your marriage and that you're powerless to stop it. But, what if I were to tell you that YOU can REWRITE your ending?

You CAN have that happy ending you expected even after you cheated on your wife. It won't even take a ton of work to make it happen. You definitely won't need to change who you are at the core.

The one mistake that many other people in this situation make is pretending to change on the surface while remaining the same deep down inside. But you are not going to make that mistake. You are going to make changes that will help you with strengthening your marriage after cheating in ways you never dreamed possible.

How do you do this? You make your marriage stronger after you've cheated on your wife by learning to appreciate your wife for the bright, beautiful, accomplished woman that she is. More importantly, you learn to let her know that you appreciate all these things about her. You show your appreciation well and often and you'll have a stronger marriage than you ever dreamed possible.

Doing nothing in this situation or continuing with superficial changes will only result in your needing to find ways to get your ex back sooner or later.

If you really want lasting results for your efforts to save your marriage and make it stronger after you've cheated on your wife there is one more thing you absolutely MUST do. Click here => http://www.getyourexbacknow.com/just_break_up3.html to learn all about it.

How to Put Your Family Back Together After Cheating – Healing Words that Help

Cheating isn't only something that happens to a man and a woman. The entire family is impacted by cheating – even if they don't even know WHAT has happened. The fact remains that something has happened and all is not exactly well at home. Now you are left to not only pick up the pieces of your marriage but also to try to figure out how to put your family back together after cheating has ripped you all apart.

Are YOU ready for the challenge?

Think it's something that's too big to accomplish? Your family is the one thing in this world that should be worth taking a big risk like that. So what are you waiting for?

The first thing you're going to have to do is make things right with your spouse. This may take a little time but it can be done. You can't expect overnight miracles but part of the problems with your family will be resolved when everyone feels confident that mom and dad are going to be OK.
Keep in mind, your kids are smart people. They observe a lot. You don't have to tell them something is wrong in order for them to pick up on it. You also don't have to tell them it's going to be OK for them to start to feel as if it will. BUT, telling them that everything is going to be OK will reassure them in a HUGE way at a time when they feel like their world is starting to come apart. This is about making them feel better and not so much about making you feel better.

The next thing you need to do is make sure to spend quality time alone with each and every one of your children. They need this time and it may have been a while since they've had it. If you had a long-term affair, the odds are good that you made excuses not to spend time with the family. Your kids need to make up for lost time.
Quite frankly, you need that time with them as well. You need a chance to remember WHY these great people are some of your favorite people in the world.

Take in a ball game with your teen. Spend an afternoon at the arcade in a giant death match against the mutants with your pre-teen. Sacrifice a little of your dignity by having high tea with your favorite six year old little girl, Mr. Ted E. Bear, and his wild band of stuffed animal consorts. You might accidentally catch yourself having a blast and your children will thaw considerably as a result.

It's small steps like this that get huge results when it come to finding ways to put your family back together again after cheating. If you don't do this you might have a lot more to worry about than how to get your ex back after cheating.

As far as the first step, making things better with your spouse, there is only one thing you absolutely need to do to make that happen. Click here => http://www.getyourexbacknow.com/just_break_up3.html to find out what you need to do and how important timing is to the entire process.

Baby Smiles In Its Earliest 12 Months

Now that your loaded with baby gifts, if I asked you to identify when a baby is unhappy, that would not be a tough question to answer. You would most likely respond that a crying baby indicates something is wrong. The tougher question to respond to is when can you tell a baby is happy? A newborn has limited communication ability, so it's harder to see the signs of a happy baby. And let’s be honest a lot of the books lets us know what to do when a baby is distressed, not what to look for to tell if your baby is happy. Your search is over; here are few ways to tell when your baby is happy and some happy milestone you will want to look for.

You anxiously waited nine months for this bundle of joy to arrive and all you want to do is smile and coo at him. This is a very good thing, because when you do just that it helps to boost your newborn's brain as well as soothe him. Don’t be concerned whenever you do not get a response from baby from all your cooing and smiling. That first month the baby is not able to show positive facial expressions. Soon he should be able to smile and all your effort will be rewarded.

Plenty of baby boy gifts may or matnot be helpful but whenever a baby is unhappy or uncomfortable he'll arch his back and very likely begin crying. When a baby snuggles into you when you're holding him that is a sign that he's content and happy. Keep in mind that babies are very good and picking up on your mood. So even though the baby is fed and has a clean diaper, he might be fussy due to the fact he is feeling your stress.

One of the best milestones that your baby can achieve is that of smiling. This occurs between the one and three month timeframe. Absolutely nothing is like smiling at your baby and getting that sweet face to smile back at you, it is sure to melt your heart. Babies also start reacting to what you do at this time, so forget about being all prim and proper and act your silliest.

Toys and baby girl gifts can help butthat infectious baby giggle starts around the 3 to 6 month mark. This is the time they find there funny bone and you never know precisely what will make them laugh. It might be a funny face that you make or a tickle to the foot. That laughing baby is music in your ears, so enjoy getting to know your baby even better and find out what makes him laugh.

Babies really want to communicate with you and they start getting vocal within the four to seven month time frame. They aren't creating words at this point, but they will start to chatter. Even though these are just noises to you, encourage every syllable because he is learning to talk to you. You will observe occasionally the chatter becomes higher pitched. He may do this when he's interested in something or wants to let you know he likes something. So keep talking to him and let him talk back to you as much as possible.

A major change happens around the 12 month mark and that is because babies will now want to make you laugh. They start developing their sense of humor at this time. Once they do something which makes you laugh, they'll do it again to get the same reaction. Use caution at whatever you laugh at, because he will want to try it again. You'll want to laugh and only encourage good behavior. The baby trying to take the dog for a pony ride may indeed be funny, but is this something you want to encourage.

Find Out How To Recognize If Your Baby Is Cheery

Now that your loaded with baby gifts, learning your babies emotions can be daunting. Even though it is quite simple to tell when they're distressed and desire something, it can be much more difficult to tell when they're happy. Many new parents are concerned because they are convinced their baby is always unhappy, they just don't understand what the signs of a contented baby are. Below are a few signs that reveal your baby is happy as well as some happiness milestones.

One thing you'll need to keep in mind is the fact that an infant won't have the capability to show happy facial expressions. So do not expect that first month for little one to smile and react when you are cooing and beaming at baby. Although you don’t get a reaction, keep smiling and cooing, since this is helping your infant to learn. The baby also finds seeing your face and listening to your voice very calming. We often forget about the amount of a baby is learning each day as well as adapting to their new environment. For months they heard your voice, but now they hear your voice and see you in a much brighter and bigger environment then they are accustomed to. That smile will come in no time, so keep that smiling and cooing on your end going.

Plenty of baby gift sets may or matnot be helpful but you'll find nothing as pleasing then when a baby snuggles close to you. Did you know that is a sign that baby is happy, it is. That snuggle also means that you are projecting good energy for the baby. Infants are very capable of sensing your mood. Have you ever observed a new mom who is not too confident about her parenting skills, and how fussy her baby is, this is because the little one is picking up on her discomfort. So an important factor is making sure your baby is happy is for you to de-stress and let go of some of the stress.

Somewhere between one and three months babies began to smile spontaneously. They will begin to smile as a reaction to something you have done, so begin getting silly with that little one.

Toys and keepsake baby gifts can help butthe fun really commences when babies are between three and 6 months, since this is when they start laughing, not just smiling. No two babies are identical, so you never know what will make the baby laugh. Some babies might find tummy tickles the most hilarious thing on the planet, while some might think the funny noise you make is the beyond the funniest thing ever. Whatever it is that makes your baby laugh, do it often since there is nothing like the sound of a babies giggle.

Babies begin finding their voices around the four to seven month time-frame. You'll not hear words, but a good amount of noises and chatter. They're really attempting to communicate with you, so much so that you may notice that their babbling from time to time will become higher pitched. This is their way of telling you they like something, or something is exciting them. They learn to talk by listening to you, so keep chatting away to baby, and wait for him to respond; someday soon actual words will take over the chattering.

Around 12 months babies starti to develop their sense of humor. They are fully aware they can make you smile and they will try different things to cause you to laugh. If they get a response, they will do it again to see if they get another reaction. So you now know some milestones of happy baby

Should Your Family Get A Pet

For many of us, pets are a very important part of our families, and could not imagine not having pets. Animals can be wonderful, however they must match your family. So if you are considering adding a pet in your family, use the information below to help you decide what works best for you. Also consider that not every family is suited to have a pet. What they are all suited for is baby gifts

Often time's young families get puppies as family pets. Pups are adorable and fun, nevertheless they also require a lot of work. If your family has infants and younger kids then take into consideration all the time it takes if you have a new puppy. Puppies will require several trips to a vet when you first get them for a number of things. Also a puppy needs a lot of training. It must be taught on what and what not to do including being housebroken.

Dogs absolutely need to get exercise every day, and this means they should be walked at least once or twice a day. This is not optional; a dog needs to exercise to remain physically healthy and mentally stable. Your free time needs to be a serious thing to consider when you are deciding if a dog suits you

One of the biggest points you have to consider when adding a dog to your family is breed. You need to take into account the breeds size and personality. When it comes to breed, think of the animals up keep. Many varieties of dogs will need to go to the groomers every 6 weeks and some even more often. Maybe buy some baby bibs too.

Many people get cats for pets thinking they are much less work than owning a dog. There exists some truth to that statement, however don't be fooled. Pet cats have to have a substantial amount of attention as well. Cats also like routine and will have to be fed at regular times. And while do not need housebreak cats, you might need to litter train your new kitty. By nature nearly all cats instinctively make use of the litter box. But occasionally you will have to train a cat or kitten. You will also need to clean the litter box once or twice each day.

While you don't to walk cats they really do need to play, they like to run, chase, and catch. Playing is important for cats and kittens. Many cats enjoy human interaction very much.

All cats have varied temperaments so it will be important you choose a cat that is tranquil. Kittens in general are very active and also must learn to how you'd like them to behave. I would not suggest a kitten for those who have a baby, cats are wonderful, however their tolerance levels seem to be a bit lower compared to dogs.

Having a family pet can be very satisfying. Finding the right pet for your family just takes a little research. When you find the correct pet for your family, you'll wonder what took you so long. Make sure that you look at your local pet shelters for pets, there are plenty of great pets waiting there for a great home like yours.. Then bring home some baby gift sets.

A lot of families have dogs as pets. They are often great companions for you and your family. But also keep a number of things in mind before you bring Ruffie home. First consider exactly what it means to be an owner of a dog. If you're getting a new puppy he will need to be housebroken. This in of itself will require a lot time and patience. Young puppies need about four sets of inoculation shots, and older dogs also require booster vaccines. You should also have flea and tick control.

Your new dog will also need to be fed and exercised on a regular schedule. Dogs are creatures of habit and it will develop a routine rather quickly. So be prepared to feed your dog about the same time on a daily basis. Dogs likewise require exercise every single day to be happy and healthy. They should be walked and some breeds may need to run a few times every day. Do you live in an area where dogs may be walked at least two times each day? Do you have time in your schedule with the baby, work and family obligations? It's not fair to the dog if it cannot have the correct daily exercise.

An Introduction to Aeroponics

Most people are familiar with the idea of hydroponics - growing plants in water - but aeroponics is not so well-known. In fact, I just had to add the word to my spell checker. Simply put, aeroponics is growing plants in air.
Of course there's more to it, as plants don't do too well in plain air. The roots of plants grown aeroponically (is that a word?) are suspended in an enclosed space and water and nutrients are sprayed on the roots. The main stem and leaves stay out in the open above the container enclosing the roots, allowing them to get air and light.
History In 1942 W. Carter first researched air culture growing and described a method of growing plants in water vapor, using the method to make studying plant roots easier, but it was F. W. Went who first coined the air-growing process as "aeroponics" in 1957.
The first commercial aeroponics setup was the Genesis Rooting System, commonly called the Genesis Machine, by GTi in 1983. The device was controlled by a microchip and simply connected to an electrical outlet and a water faucet.
Aeroponics Today Aeroponics is very popular for cloning plants from cuttings. Many plants thought to be difficult or impossible to clone are now much easier. It has even been used in spaced for plant experiments since the 1960s and NASA has been developing inflatable aeroponic greenhouses for use on Mars.
Benefits of Aeroponics
* Less Fertilizer - Since all the nutrients are contained, they don't end up in groundwater or sinking too deep into the soil to be of any help. * Less Water - Very important for space travel and those in arid climates. Much of the water lost in traditional gardening is from water evaporating out of the soil. The rest of it just sinks past the roots and the plants never get a chance to drink it. * More Cost Effective - Since less nutrient solution is needed as compared to hydroponics the costs to operate an aeroponic garden are less than to operate a hydroponic garden. There are also fewer moving parts and complicated systems involved. * Reduced Disease Damage - Because the plants are seperated from each other and not sharing the same soil, an infection in one plant has a much lower chance of spreading to the rest of your plants.
Aeroponics does have some downsides. The initial cost to get things up and running can be higher than that of a tradition garden or container garden. There are also more things that can break down or stop working, leaving your plants high and dry.
Aeroponics at Home You've probably seen commercials for the AeroGarden from AeroGrow. It's the easiest way to get started in aeroponics and comes in different sizes. You can buy seed kits for herbs, lettuces and more, or use your own seeds with the system. It's a great way to have fresh herbs, lettuce and more all year long.
If you're looking for something a bit bigger, how about the General Hydroponics RainForest 318 with 18 three inch growing pots. This would work great for growing leaf lettuce for a small family or for growing your own army of Venus flytraps.
If you're more of a do-it-yourself type there are plenty of resources online with information and supplies to create your own aeroponic garden.
Is aeroponics for everyone? Probably not, but it is a fascinating way to grow plants and can be very educational for kids and adults. Give it a try today!
